Monte Bernardi Sangiò, Chianti Classico, DOCG

The first wine was produced in this estate in 1992 with a change to fully organic viticulture in 2002. The Schmelzer family, originally from Michigan, purchased Monte Bernardi in 2003. As winemaker, Michael has invested time, love and money in the vineyards, the winery and villa. The property was certified biodynamic in 2004.

Ripe cherry on the nose with a subtle star anise spice, medium to full bodied and fruity, a great wine for food.
